This workshop is designed to provide participants the understanding and skills necessary to apply artificial intelligence (AI) tools in their clinical practice. Attendees will delve into a variety of AI technologies that can be applied in clinical environments (including chatbots, apps, and documentation tools), acquire affective strategies for pinpointing opportunities to apply technology for the benefit of clients, and learn how to choose and incorporate the most appropriate digital tools. We will also examine the supportive role of generative AI tools, such as chatGPT, in augmenting psychological interventions. Finally, we will discuss the ethical implications of using AI in mental healthcare.
Shiri Sadeh-Sharvit, PhD is a clinical psychologist and Associate Professor of Research at Palo Alto University. With a PhD in Clinical Child Psychology from Bar Ilan University, her Expertise spans various domains, including integrating technology into therapeutic practices, addressing parent-child relationships, and mitigating transgenerational transmission of mental health issues. Dr. Sadeh-Sharvit's extensive research portfolio includes pioneering studies on digital interventions for eating disorders. As Director of Training at the Center for m2Health and Chief Clinical Officer at Eleos Health, she leads initiatives at the intersection of psychology and technology, contributing significantly to advancing mental healthcare accessibility and efficacy.
