DHigh-quality supervision plays a vital role in improving client outcomes in clinical settings (Snowdon, Leggat, & Taylor, 2017) and reducing professional burnout and disengagement among mental health practitioners (Johnson, Corker, & O’Connor, 2021). It provides a valuable space for clinicians to strengthen their therapeutic
techniques, expand their theoretical understanding, and implement research-informed practices. Supervision also cultivates a collaborative and trusting dynamic between supervisors and supervisees, which is essential for professional growth. Designing an effective supervisory approach that incorporates these core elements calls for thoughtful preparation and flexible implementation. This workshop will delve into the ethical foundations that underpin clinical supervision and offer practical tools for tailoring supervision using the Integrated Developmental Model. Through interactive exercises, participants will practice applying ethical reasoning
to real-world supervision scenarios.
